Our three year old room aims to nurture your budding pre-schooler in their final journey towards transitioning into Reception. Through our planning we strive to achieve a balance of learning through play and structured activities using small groups to develop and challenge all abilities. We offer a safe environment for children to explore and investigate enabling them to take appropriate risks and develop school readiness skills. Children are encouraged to use their imagination and be creative whilst developing their learning and understanding through early letters and sounds activities to prepare them for extending these skills in Reception. Knowledge and understanding of numbers is developed through fun activities in the day alongside opportunities for developing early mark-making progressing to forming letters to write our names. Children are actively involved in outings in the local area to support their learning in the outdoors.
