Who are we?

On the 17th January 2011 we became Little Rascals Day-care ‘Childcare on Domestic Premises’ We are continually furthering our knowledge by attending core training and other courses of interest.

Little Rascals is keen to support students from local colleges. Encouraging prospective practitioners to understand how children learn best in a home from home setting with a low child / adult ratio and the importance of good ‘teaching’ is to care, listen and be responsive to children’s interests and ideas.

In 2014 both Suzanne and Derrian successfully completed their BA Degree’s in Early Years Leadership with Early Years Teacher Status (EYTS)

Little Rascals aim.

Here at Little Rascals we aim to offer a home from home, happy environment where the children feel safe and relaxed. During your child’s time with us we will offer them a wide choice of activities from baking to crafts through group and independent play. Every day with us provides a balance of learning and play. All children are given their own space and chance to have some quiet time or a nap. We also attend many community lead activities including Dance, rhythm time and swimming where ‘our children’ can meet with their peers for social interaction. In 2012 we began attending ‘Wellies and Worms’, a Forest pre-school session at Goodly Dale School in Windermere. This supports children’s transition to one of the settings feeder schools by ‘getting to know’ their future school with the security of their key person.

Hours of Business

Here at Little Rascals we offer full and part-time care 50 weeks of the year breaking only for the Christmas holidays. We offer emergency cover where available and are flexible with school holidays. Our hours of business are:

Mon-Fri 07:45am-17:45pm

Care is available outside of these hours if arranged in advance.

Children must be collected by the end of contracted hours. We understand that there can be delays due to traffic holdups and adverse weather, please call to keep us updated.

Little Rascals are not open on bank holidays.
